I was able to learn so much more about the historical and legislative background surrounding payroll and obligations to ensure I understand my role at greater depth.
Jade Wade from Coventry City Council
“I am a mum of 2 who changed from an established career in Senior Leadership within Special Needs schools to working within the payroll sector, I opted to go down the apprenticeship route as I felt that I would get more support when learning something new and to provide me with a broad knowledge of payroll rather than bespoke to my organisation. The benefits of this apprenticeship has meant that it worked extremely well around my family as the time to study was allocated in my working hours and not additional, I was able to learn so much more about the historical and legislative background surrounding payroll and obligations to ensure I understand my role at greater depth and having both corporate support and external support from the apprenticeship I felt like I had lots of people I could turn to when I was struggling with any elements of my role. I am ambitious and hope to lead my own payroll within the next 5 years, following successful completion of a level 5 apprenticeship with MBKB. MBKB have been fabulous, always at the end of the phone or an email and provided lots of additional sessions when the testing requirements and exam body were changed at short notice. I would not have passed this qualification without their support. I would 100% recommend MBKB and say to anyone who, like me, is afraid to make that change- do it! I will never look back now.”

Lucy Nurse from Enfield Council
“I have been working in Local Government Payroll for 10+ years and I have always desired a qualification to go with my payroll experience. My apprenticeship with MBKB has enhanced my skills and payroll knowledge hugely. I have learnt, in depth, how to correctly calculate formulas manually, rather than relying on a payroll system to do this for me.
