Our Testimonials

Hear what our apprentices have to say about our apprenticeships.

Develop individuals. Develop companies.

Learning with MBKB and having the best tutor, made it even more promising as I had someone that ensured I was able to grasp all the varying aspects of payroll and pushed me to continuously be and do my best.

Djeny Matuasilva from AS Robins LLP

“Coming into the world of payroll was something very new yet exciting.

Being given the opportunity to gain the knowledge, experience and understanding of payroll through an apprenticeship meant that I had another occasion to not only get back into education and gain more credentials but to also be in a career in which I could continuously grow.

Learning with MBKB and having the best tutor, made it even more promising as I had someone that ensured I was able to grasp all the varying aspects of payroll and pushed me to continuously be and do my best.

I would recommend anyone, wanting to go into payroll to use the opportunity to go through the route of an apprenticeship and with MBKB as it has been a real benefit for me personally and in my career.”

About.

Apprenticeship – Payroll Administrator

Employer – AS Robins LLP

I feel the apprenticeship has helped me with other sections of my career development such as writing professional reports and speaking with peers and colleagues about my work and the work my team does.

Elanor Holmes from North Yorkshire Council

“I am Elanor Holmes, I work for North Yorkshire Council and have worked in the payroll department for 7 years.

Why did you choose to do your apprenticeship? I wanted to gain further information and a qualification to hopefully further my career within a payroll service.

What are the top three benefits you have experienced, thanks to an apprenticeship? I feel more confident in my role and my knowledge. I have gained experience in sections of payroll I do not currently perform and this has helped me to feel more confident when querying issues. I feel the apprenticeship has helped me with other sections of my career development such as writing professional reports and speaking with peers and colleagues about my work and the work my team does.

What are your ambitions for your career? I hope to stay within payroll and feel this qualification has opened opportunities to me, I may not have had previously.

How have MBKB supported you in your learning? MBKB helped me from beginning to the end of my EPA. The tutors were great and supportive and answered all my questions. The supporting documents and resources were great and very helpful. The EPA made sure everything was in place and all log ins and appointments were set up.

Why would you recommend MBKB? MBKB were a brilliant company to use for my apprenticeship, they are highly knowledgeable payroll and training professionals and I am incredibly happy our company used them for this qualification.”

MBKB have provided personalised learning and have been available for any questions and queries. My tutor has been engaging, knowledgeable and supportive. And for these reasons I would highly recommend MBKB as a training provider.

Amanda McGuire from Icknield Primary School

“My name is Amanda McGuire. I am the Early Years Lead Practitioner and SEND support at Icknield Primary school, working in the Deaf Provision. I chose this apprenticeship as, after qualifying as an NNEB in 1987, it is the first course that has supported appropriate professional development past a level 3 whilst working in a full-time role.

This apprenticeship has given me the opportunity to:

  • Embed prior knowledge.
  • Provide theory based reasoning in explaining practice to others and to confidently advocate for play based, child led learning.
  • Develop positive leadership skills.

I would like to continue to work in the field of Deaf and SEND and, at some point in the future, join the advisory outreach service.

The apprenticeship has been a positive experience and has been supportive in my day-to-day work, especially in improving process management, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Elena Comber-Davies from Royal Stoke University Hospital

“I chose the Business Administration apprenticeship to obtain a recognised certificate in my field of employment and to improve my chances of career progression.  MBKB are the recognised provider for the organisation I work for.   The apprenticeship has been a positive experience and has been supportive in my day-to-day work, especially in improving process management, problem solving and communication skills.  My mentor has been supportive all the way through the course and was always there in the good times and the, sometimes, difficult moments and they helped me to keep on track with compassion and understanding.  The training and course content from MBKB was delivered effectively and structured in a way that was understandable, manageable and could be built upon to achieve the very best results.  As a result of this experience, I would highly recommend MBKB.”
