Our Testimonials
Hear what our apprentices have to say about our apprenticeships.
I had two tutors during my time on the apprenticeship, both were very helpful and approachable. Additional support and guidance was available whenever needed. They even went above and beyond to set up an additional training session for me when I wanted to learn about a topic that was not included in my original learning plan!
Stephanie Atkins from Stockton on Tees Borough Council
“Hello, my name is Steph and I recently completed a level 4 Internal Audit apprenticeship with MBKB. I chose to do an apprenticeship so that I could study whilst also gaining work experience in my new internal audit role with a local Council.
The apprenticeship was great for fitting into my work and it helped me to gain lots of background knowledge and first-hand experience related to my role. The studying was varied and interesting throughout, with both individual tutor sessions, and group sessions and workshops where I got to hear and learn about the experiences of other apprentices on my course.

Overall the apprenticeship gave me a solid foundation of knowledge for my role and has helped to increase my confidence with my work. This will benefit me greatly as I look to develop my talents further and perhaps move into more senior roles in the future. I don’t think this would have been possible without the experience I had with MBKB and I recommend them to anyone who is thinking about an apprenticeship themselves.”

MBKB did a great job at tailoring the course to my needs, allowing me to choose between group sessions and one-to-one tutoring, while also spacing out my workload and offering ongoing support – my tutor Neil was very helpful throughout.
Oliver Laws from Mace Limited
“I felt that my apprenticeship went very well and I thoroughly enjoyed the process. The modules and one-to-one follow-up sessions were interactive and informative, and I was exposed to a variety of measurement systems and models which I can now use in my current role. Despite the hard work, I’m grateful that I was able to undertake this course and achieve my qualification, which will open up many exciting opportunities for me going forward. It may be difficult at times but it is definitely worth it in the end!”

I would 100% recommend MBKB as they offer a range of courses, the course that I took was very well structured, the staff were always supportive and easy to approach and I felt as though if I needed help, it was always there.
Megan Greer from The Royal Wolverhampton NHS Trust
“Hello, my name is Megan Greer and I completed a payroll administrator level 3 apprenticeship with MBKB. I chose to go down the apprenticeship route after finishing college and changing my mind about my career path. I liked the idea of learning in an actual work environment, getting a qualification and getting paid for it at the same time.
The top 3 benefits that I have experienced while completing my apprenticeship is gaining real-world knowledge and experience within a workplace, starting to earn a regular wage and learning to manage my money and being able to use what I have learnt on my course within my actual job role. Now that I have completed the apprenticeship and gained a full-time position within the same workplace at which I carried out my apprenticeship, my career ambitions are to gain more experience and to be promoted to a more senior role in the future. MBKB have supported my learning massively.
My tutor was always able to help me if I needed anything and it was always made clear to me where I could gain support if I needed it (whether this was with my apprenticeship or personal life). My pastoral officer was also very supportive and always checked up on me to make sure that my apprenticeship was going well and to ensure I was given a chance to speak up if I had any concerns. I would 100% recommend MBKB as they offer a range of courses, the course that I took was very well structured, the staff were always supportive and easy to approach and I felt as though if I needed help, it was always there.”

Taking on this apprenticeship has also made me realise that it can never be too late to learn new skills and even roles. I would say an apprenticeship is the best way to achieve any career goals.
Samanta Terauda from Encore Personnel
“Hi, My name is Samanta and I had recently finished my Level 3 Payroll Admin apprenticeship. The experience as a whole could be described as a big rollercoaster. Before starting the current role, I had 0 to none experience in payroll, but I’m really glad to have taken the challenge as now I’m able to process payroll from start to finish.
Taking on this apprenticeship has also made me realise that it can never be too late to learn new skills and even roles. I would say an apprenticeship is the best way to achieve any career goals, as you can both work and learn the practical side of the role, and do the course work, watch webinars to learn the technical side of payroll.
As I got to do weekly payroll, it could be quite challenging at times, due to the work / apprenticeship balance, but no matter what, I had great support from my tutor Claire Bartlett, who was always extremely supportive no matter what. Favourite part of the apprenticeship for me was the sessions with my tutor as I was able to ask any questions then and there, and if I was struggling with anything, Claire was happy to set up any additional sessions needed, to make sure that I understand the subject.
If anyone wants to have an apprenticeship, MBKB is the place to go to. Who knows, maybe my path with MBKB will cross once again.”
