My Tutor Ashley was absolutely fantastic and helped me through all of my concerns and was super patient with me.

Sue Little from Travis Perkins

“When I started my apprenticeship with MBKB I was very nervous about going back into the world of studying. My Tutor Ashley was absolutely fantastic and helped me through all of my concerns and was super patient with me. I also needed to complete FS Math as I could not find my GCSE certificate at the start of the course, this concerned me as it had been a while, and it was needed to complete the course…..However, Michelle, again, was fantastic and helped me through my studying and I achieved what I set out to do. I could not recommend these guys enough to guide you through what can be a very nerve wracking time. I have now achieved my Level 4 Internal Audit Practitioner and I will definitely be studying further in the future. “

Claire B played a vital role within my course, and I wouldn’t have been able to complete it with as much ease if I didn’t have her. The overall experience was great, and I have enjoyed every moment.

Grace Gregory from Trant Engineering

“In March of 2022 I took the opportunity to start a new role and my apprenticeship at the same time. Before this I had no experience in payroll whatsoever. I have now successfully completed the apprenticeship and will continue working in payroll, I have more confidence within my role and complete a lot of work on my own or even check others work. I have a wider range of payroll knowledge and I also now understand why I do certain things and the repercussions if I do not.

I can confidently answer queries from employees and other team members and also support those around me if needed. My tutor was absolutely brilliant at supporting and teaching me, she would always ensure I was up to date with all work and if I didn’t understand something she would offer extra support sessions and we wouldn’t just move on from it. She took special attention to my way of learning and things that spiked my interest such as case law and would often bring them into our sessions, I always looked forward to our meetings because of this.

I think the way the course was laid out was very beneficial, I was never too stressed or overwhelmed and always knew what I had to complete. Claire B played a vital role within my course, and I wouldn’t have been able to complete it with as much ease if I didn’t have her. The overall experience was great, and I have enjoyed every moment.”

The thought of the exams were nerve wracking, but my Tutor Adele made all the difference. Adele provided the perfect balance of encouragement and understanding.

Thomas Buckley from London Borough of Barking and Dagenham

“After years in a career in odds compiling for bookmakers, I decided I wanted to move into a career that was going to be more conventional working hours, with my background being around numbers and money, I eventually decided on a career in payroll, which led me to embarking on my payroll apprenticeship with MBKB.

It has been many years since I have done any studying or exams, so it was very challenging at times and the thought of the exams were nerve wracking, but my Tutor Adele made all the difference. Adele provided the perfect balance of encouragement and understanding at the difficulties involved and was always more than happy to help me with anything I was struggling with. MBKB were also very understanding when I had some health issues during the course, allowing me to pause the apprenticeship while I was in hospital and then come back to it when I was able to again.

I wouldn’t have been able to study if it wasn’t for being able to study whilst working at the same time, so the apprenticeship was perfect for me. The combination of my own hard work and a lot of work and support from Adele ultimately resulted in me getting a distinction, which has impressed a lot of my managers at work and will no doubt help to open doors for my career in payroll to progress further from here on out.”
